Everyone that worked on this shoot left as a 100% die hard Trey Songz fan. Not only does he have great style and attitude, but when he started singing along to Marvin Gaye the energy in the room changed instantaneously. It was a pleasure to spend the day exploring various corners of the Chateau Marmont with him and the wonderfully talented Fashion Director Evyan Metzner from Self Magazine.

Shooting for the brand new Revel resort in Atlantic City, I arrived at the massive, still-under-construction grounds on a blustery, windswept day. Collaborating with the great creatives at Mother Agency and stylist Susan Winget, we used the rain, wind, and moments of sunshine to our advantage and captured some terrific shots that alternated between dramatic and super cute.

When I saw the new Tommy Bahama flagship store on 5th Avenue wrapped in one of our images, 30 feet tall, it struck me how great it’s been to watch the brand transform in the time we’ve been working together. I think the end product just keeps getting better and better. Here are a few of the ads that came out of our trips to Miami and Belize this year.

I revisited these Guess images after WWD called to get a quote for a retrospective they did on 30 years of Guess. I always felt it was really an honor to be part of such an iconic project and it opened a lot of doors for me. There’s something about being from LA and being able to do a Guess campaign… it’s like the pinnacle of LA fashion advertising, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites.

Santa Barbara Magazine’s Creative Director Gina Tolleson and I have a lot in common: we both live on the same beach in Carpentaria, we both love bonfires as the epitome of the Santa Barbara experience, and we both won Miss World titles in the 1990’s. For this shoot, we got a great group of girls from Photogenics agency, lit a fire, and watched the sun go down. Styled once again by the great Susan Wingett who found an innovative way to mix Patagonia jackets with bohemian chic, and added so much to the overall feel of the shoot. Special thanks to our neighbor who loaned us the beach and helped us make the chicest bonfire Santa Barbara has seen in a long time.
